Our Doctors

Dr Siew Leong Lo – MBBS (QLD), FRACGP thA
Dr Siew Leong Lo has a special interest in complementary medicine, and runs a Wellness Clinic where he focuses on improving health, not just eliminating disease. He is also interested in anti-aging medicine, health, wellness and wholeness. Dr Lo is fluent in English, Mandarin, Cantonese, Malay and Hokkien.

Dr Stephen Tang – MBBS, FRACGP
Dr Tang completed his medical degree in Sydney in 1995. Early in his career, he worked for two years as a paediatric registrar in hospitals in New Zealand and Queensland. After this he spent four years as an obstetrics and gynaecology registrar in Brisbane. In 2003 he worked for six months as a Flying Doctor with the Royal Flying Doctor Service based in Roma, Queensland. From these experiences Dr Tang developed a special interest in women’s and children’s health as well as surgical procedures.
Dr Tang has worked at Florey Medical Centre since 2004. He speaks fluent English, Cantonese and Mandarin.

Dr Paul Buckley – MBBS, FAICD, Dip Prac Derm (Wales) AM.

Dr Buckley has a special interest in skin and runs our skin clinic.

Dr Fiona McDonald – MBBS

Dr Fiona McDonald has worked part-time at Florey for a number of years. She has a special interest in women’s and children’s health. She is currently on leave.

 

Dr Qiang (Chant) Hu – MBBS, AMC, FRACGP

Dr Qiang Hu

Dr Hu completed his medical degree in 1984 and became an Internal Medicine specialist in 1990.  He worked in a number of hospitals for many years in Newcastle, the Central Coast and Sydney before changing to work as a GP.  He has worked in both hospitals and GP surgeries in Wagga Wagga, Coolamon and Tumut.

He is a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners with more than 20 years extensive clinical experience especially in internal medicine, geriatrics and children’s and women’s health.

He is a very caring doctor with strong principles regarding a doctor’s duty of care and professionalism.
Chant is a classical music fan and he plays the piano almost every day after work.
His special interests are internal medicine, paediatrics and geriatrics. He is fluent in English and Mandarin.

Dr Abdur Rahman – MBBS, FRACGP, DCH, MPH
Dr Rahman returned to the practice in July. He has many years experience in general practice with a special interest in geriatrics, public health and women and children’s health. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practice,  holds a Diploma in Child Health and a Master of Public Health.  He is fluent in English and Urdu.

Dr Nadia Laeeq MBBS

Dr Laeeq will be joining the practice in mid-January 2011, after having worked in Victoria.                                                                                                                          As well as being fluent in English, Dr Laeeq speaks Urdu and Punjabi and can understand Hindi.                                                                                                                           Dr Laeeq has a special interest in diabetes and stroke prevention.
